Lipozene Pills – All Natural Weight Loss Supplement
Lipozene is an all natural weight loss supplement, manufactured by Obesity Research Institute Inc. Lipozene contains glucomannan as its active ingredient. The supplement is available for purchase from its official website and is marketed by various independent distributors as well. The manufacturer of the product recommends consulting a qualified healthcare professional before starting Lipozene or any other weight loss supplement.
Glucomannan is extracted from the root of Konjac Plant. Unlike other soluble dietary fibers, glucomannan expends in the is lipozene safe stomach by absorbing water. This results in a feeling of fullness so you do not feel hungry. The active ingredient in Lipozene cannot be absorbed by the body; moreover it also has a stool-bulking effect. It makes large soft stools that are easy to pass.
The results of a clinical study to evaluate the effectiveness of glucomannan to lose weight were published in International journal of Obesity in the year 1984. The subjects were instructed not to change their dietary habits or physical exercise. All participants of the study took1000mg glucomannan with plain water an hour before meals three times a day.
On an average, each participant lost 5.5 pounds. Moreover they also experienced declines in their cholesterol levels.
In a TV commercial ad, Obesity Research Institute has claimed, the efficacy of Lipozene is supported by twelve clinical studies. But according to Mr. David Heber Professor of Medicine at University of California (Los Angeles) USA, those studies only investigated glucomannan and not Lipozene as a finished product.
Early research indicates that glucomannan can be used as an effective supplement to lose weight, but in fact that research was not done on Lipozene. Additionally the claims of the manufacturer are far more impressive than the actual results of the studies conducted to evaluate glucomannan.
There are so many brands available in the market that contain the same formulation as Lipozene and are much cheaper. On the other hand, glucomannan is widely available in pure form at health food stores at a fraction of price; one has to pay in order to buy one of those weight loss supplements. This is also a major drawback of the product.
One advantage of Lipozene has really impressed me. This product is available in capsule form instead of powder or tablet. As I said earlier in this review, the active ingredient absorbs water and expands, the gel-like substance (Glucomannan after absorbing water) can stuck into the throat or esophagus if swallowed in powder or tablet form. It is unlikely to happen with Lipozene as the active ingredient safely reaches in your stomach because of capsule form.
